The students are supposed to independently prepare and present the material. The seminar is meant as a supplemet to the astroparticle physics lecture. The following topics can be covered: - CMB: Observation of background radiation and its interpretation - The cosmic distance ladder: Methods to determine cosmological distances - Dark Energy: Observation of SNIa and its interpretation - Big Bang Nucleosynthesis: Measurement of element abundances and comparison to expectations - Large Scale Strucutre in the universe: the influence of dark matter - Large Scale Structure in the universe: limits on neutrino masses - Measurement of Neutrino masses: Endpoint measurements - Measurement of Neutrino masses: neutrinoless double beta decay - Experiments for the search of neutrinoless double beta decay: GERDA, Kamland ZEN, EXO, CUORE - Neutrino oscillations: SNO, Borexino, Kamland, Kamiokande - Evidence for dark matter: dynamics in galaxies, clusters and superclusters - Determination of mass distributions in clusters: weak lensing, the bullet cluster |
