Further Information

Courses are together with exams the building blocks for modules. Please keep in mind that information on the contents, learning outcomes and, especially examination conditions are given on the module level only – see section "Assignment to Modules" above.

additional remarks This FOPRA is related to a modern technique used to study the strong force between hadrons. It is called femtoscopy. It relies on measuring pairwise correlations among the particles produced during high-energy collisions at accelerators, such as the LHC. This course provides the students with the opportunity to analyze data, measured and published by the ALICE experiment, of proton-Lambda correlations, and apply some basic techniques to extract the corresponding total cross section.
