Further Information

Courses are together with exams the building blocks for modules. Please keep in mind that information on the contents, learning outcomes and, especially examination conditions are given on the module level only – see section "Assignment to Modules" above.

additional remarks The vertical flux of cosmic rays shall be measured. The efficiency of the detector is to be estimated by comparison with the expected rate. The concept of this laboratory course is to allow you to set up the experiment. Therefore, there will be no step-by-step instructions, only the objectives and a description of the available equipment. Please consider how you would approach the experiment. You will decide for yourself how to set up the experiment by selecting the equipment to be used and conducting the measurements you deem necessary. The instructor will help you, but will not run the experiment for you. With this ”learning-by-doing principle” you will learn the most, in our opinion, about how to prepare, set up, and run an experiment.
