additional remarks Polymeric materials (plastics) have numerous applications, both in in daily life and in high-tech products. This module deals with the following advanced topics of polymer physics:- Polymer surfaces and interfaces with solid walls, interfaces between polymers- Dynamics in polymer melts, influence of entanglements, interdiffusion- Thin polymer films: thermodynamic consideration and methods for their characterization- Block copolymers: phase behavior and structures in the melt, in thin film and in solution, modern applications- Polymer gels: mechanical properties, chemically and physically cross-linked gels, thermodynamic description and applications- Electrical properties: polyelectrolytes, conducting polymers, applications
