| additional remarks | Bei ihrer Entstehung mussten die Menschenrechte in Europa und in den amerikanischen Kolonien gegen die Machtinteressen absolutistischer Staaten erkämpft werden. Wie ist es heutzutage? Was sind Menschenrechte? Menschenrechte wurzeln in der Menschenwürde und sind unverzichtbar. Politische Entwicklungen in westlichen Demokratien und in autokratisch regierten Staaten ergeben ein unterschiedliches Bild. Während in den westlichen Demokratien die Bürgerfreiheit trotz Terrorismusgefahr erhalten werden muss, gibt es in Afrika, in Indien und in Teilen Asiens autochthon-ursprüngliche Traditionen, die einen Prozess der Aufnahme der Menschenrechte in unterschiedlicher Weise begünstigen. Im vorderen Orient versucht Bagdadi ein anachronistisches Kalifat zu errichten, das auf die islamische Welt in Verbindung mit Al Qaida messianische Impulse aussendet. Trifft in der Zukunft zu, was Huntington vorausgesagt hat: Konflikte an religiösen Grenzlinien von Kulturen? |
