additional remarks | In this Proseminar for students of the Master programs in Quantum Science and Technology, in Condensed Matter and in Applied and Engineering Physics, we address recent advances in quantum sensing and quantum computing. On April 24, we will have an introductory meeting where we present the topics of the current semester and assign speakers. Papers to be discussed include: Dynamic synthesis of Heisenberg-limited spin squeezing, Long-Gang Huang et al., npj Quantum Information 7, 168 (2021).Quantum mechanics–free subsystem with mechanical oscillators, L. M. de Lépinay et al., Science 372, 625 (2021).Nonlinear Sideband Cooling to a Cat State of Motion, B. D. Hauer et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 130, 213604 (2023).Dynamical Backaction Magnomechanics, C. A. Potts et al., Phys. Rev. X 11, 031053 (2021).Continuous-wave room-temperature diamond maser, Jonathan D. Breeze et al., Nature 555, 493 (2018).Detecting nitrogen-vacancy-hydrogen centers on the nanoscale using nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond, Christoph Findler et al., Phys. Rev. Materials 8, 026203 (2024). |
