additional remarks Students can choose between a number of courses addressing different communicative challenges: (1) Presentation & Moderation Techniques: - use and effect of voice, language and body language - managing the impact on employees and customers - defining explicit goals and objectives - responsibilities, role and self-perception of an facilitator - strategies how to conduct a fruitful discussion (2) Conflict Management & Conduct of Negotiations - conflict types - causes and development of conflicts - systematic conflict analysis (e.g. stages of escalation after Glasl) - conflict patterns - concepts of negotiation strategies, - conflict de-escalation (3) Business Plan - developing a business plan - assessment of business ideas - analyzing market & competition - pitching business idea (4) Intercultural Communication - share information across different cultures and social groups - interact with people from other cultures - understand customs from people of different countries (5) Language Courses (offered by TUM Language Center or courses completed abroad equivalent to 3 ECTS) - learn a foreign language - be more open to another culture - assessment of business ideas; analysing market & competition
