additional remarks | The ABAP programming language continues to be of great importance as the carrier of the business application logic in SAP. ABAP knowledge enables computer scientists or information systems specialists to understand the function of existing SAP systems and to make simple extensions for special application tasks. In addition, the web technologies offered by SAP provide the opportunity to display business processes on modern user interfaces. The practical course "Enterprise Software Engineering" is aimed at students who want to familiarize themselves with both the ABAP programming language and a web technology for SAP application development such as SAPUI5. The aim of the course is to teach the basic concepts of the SAP technology stack. By means of practical projects, the course enables students to gain programming experience. Students learn how to use the development environment Eclipse and VS Code and how to embed developments in different system landscapes. For this purpose, they get to know different tools of component-based development and can develop corresponding component-based objects themselves. |
