| additional remarks | The lecture Biocompatible Materials 2 is a continuation of the lecture Fundamentals of Medical Engineering: Biocompatible Materials 1. The lecture covers the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the main components of the organ system. The focus lies on technologies for the treatment of common diseases of the different organs. In the summer semester the following topics will be covered in the lecture: - Respiratory system - Digestive system - Urogenital system - Central and peripheral nervous system - Sensory organs with emphasis on the ear - Trauma and plastic surgery - Medical Device Regulation As this lecture emphasizes the interdisciplinary character of medical technology, we reserve the right to include current topics that are not listed here or to omit others in return. |
