additional remarks In this practical course, you will be part of a team to develop platooning functionality for small cars. Platooning is an autonomous driving function which enables cars or trucks to drive behind each others in a short distance such that fuel can be saved. Ensuring safety in such a scenario and the management of the platoon are crucial tasks. In this practical course, you will develop this functionality by extending an existing adaptive cruise control implementation using an existing lane keeping assistance and communication between cars. You will work in teams to come up with a solution for a platooning specification using a model based development approach. The solution will then be integrated into the vehicle. The teams will manage themselves and need to coordinate with each other to be able to integrate the developed functions. The final goal is that all team solutions can work in collaboration to fulfill the platooning specification. Main parts of the course will take place at fortiss GmbH, close to Nordfriedhof. Preliminary Meeting: 5th February 2019, Room 00.11.038, 10-11:30am _
