| additional remarks | Wenngleich nicht geklärt ist, ob der Dialog "Alkibiades I" wirklich Platon zugeschrieben werden kann, so ist er doch in jedem Falle ein Zeugnis platonischen Philosophierens. Von daher kann er, wie es auch lange Zeit geschehen ist, als Einführung gelesen werden. Sokrates ist im Gespräch mit dem hoffnungsvollen Nachwuchspolitiker Alkibiades, dessen selbstsüchtiges Handeln wenige Jahre nach dem dramatischen Datum des Dialogs dazu beitragen sollte, dass Athen in eine katastrophale Lage geriet. Alkibiades wird von Sokrates hinsichtlich seiner Fähigkeiten, die ihn für die Politik geeignet machen, befragt und zur Rechenschaftsablage gezwungen. |
