additional remarks The rapid movement on the market of mobile applications and devices within the area of health and lifestyle leads to new trends in health communication. The dissemination of mobile apps and the possibilities of smart sensor devices (e.g. smart watches, fitness wrists or smart scales) comes along with a wider acceptance among people in daily life, using these personal tracking devices for Self-Monitoring. Participating students will gain an insight into the fundamentals, operating principles, and opportunities for mobile health service development in the area of healthier living styles. The aim of this course is to design and implement prototypes for innovative health services. In this Semester, we want to bring the idea "Food @Campus" alive. Students will therefore, in various technical teams (Frontend, Backend), develop one mobile app that tackles with the problem of healthy eating while at the TUM Campus. Structure of the advanced practical course: • Inspiration: Understand the problem (e.g. it-based motivation for enhancing health behaviour) • Ideation: Develop creative solutions for an innovative health service • Implementation: Development of the service • Evaluation: Test the implemented health service • Communication: Present the results to experts from science and practice
