Assignment to Modules

Further Information

Courses are together with exams the building blocks for modules. Please keep in mind that information on the contents, learning outcomes and, especially examination conditions are given on the module level only – see section "Assignment to Modules" above.

additional remarks This seminar discusses hot topics in emerging semiconductor-based device physics and the underlying nano- or quantum materials. Examples will focus on new-generation photonic, electronic and energy devices, including e.g., ultracompact nanolasers and quantum photonic emitters, down-scaled ballistic field effect transistors, semiconductor-superconductor hybrid devices, nanothermoelectrics, advanced-concept solar cells, etc. Devices which exploit nano- and quantum size effects in low-dimensional semiconductors systems (e.g. 0D, 1D, 2D quantum materials) will be given preference.
