additional remarks The lecture treats concepts for the energetic use of biogenic fuels and thermal treatment of residuals: Application and utilization of biomass for the purposes of heat and power generation as well as fuel production with traditional and innovative concepts (fermentation, pyrolysis, gasification). Furthermore case studies for decentralized utilities / thermal treatment plants are presented, taken in account the economic conditions and political frameworks. Basics of process design, technological challenges of combustion and gasification processes
