additional remarks In this module students gain basic knowledge of Russian as a foreign language, taking into consideration intercultural and cultural aspects. Students learn to pose questions related to specific everyday situations and to respond to slowly and clearly articulated questions. They practice talking about their experiences in short sentences and common phrases, using basic vocabulary concerning such topics as family, leisure time, shopping, etc. Students thus gain knowledge of the grammatical structures necessary to make simple statements and pose questions in the present and simple past. Opportunities will be made available for self-motivated, independent learning.
