additional remarks This seminar will provide students the opportunity to explore current topics in semiconductor photocatalysis and photoelectrochemistry for renewable energy conversion. Students will conduct literature surveys, discuss advanced topics in the field, and give a projector presentation on a special topic of particular relevance. A sample of potential topics includes: - New and emerging semiconductors for solar energy harvesting - Nanostructures and nanomaterials for solar photocatalysis - Semiconductor interface phenomena - Advanced in situ and operando characterization methods - Fundamentals and open questions regarding semiconductor/electrolyte interfaces - Charge transport and recombination in complex systems - Fundamental challenges and opportunities for production of fuels from sunlight
