| additional remarks | The lecture focuses on the central elements of leadership and the development and implementation of strategies in international operating companies. The students will learn by the means of practical examples coming e.g. from the automation industry, chemical industry and the automobile industry, about: - which kind of different strategies are existing within a company in order to attract customers and to squeeze competitors out of the market, - how to formulate a strategy development process within companies and how to introduce the corresponding process of changes within respective companies, - how to implement an elaborated strategy in a company, how to measure the progress and how to derive on the basis of those information a controlling concept for the respective manager. The lecture aims to prepare the attending students who have predominantly a technical background for a possible future position with leadership responsibility. In principle, they should be able in the future to establish systematically a strategy process into a company as responsible managers. |
