Combining elements of our presentation and writing skills courses, this course covers a variety of communication techniques needed for a successful career in science.
In this course students write and revise texts of various types while learning how to evaluate and interpret written texts of others in regular workshop sessions. Topics considered include: comparison and contrast, data commentary, as well as writing summaries and critiques. In the oral presentation part of the course, this course allows students to practice for formal speaking tasks in English such as a class presentation, dissertation defense or conference talk. |
