Further Information
Courses are together with exams the building blocks for modules. Please keep in mind that information on the contents, learning outcomes and, especially examination conditions are given on the module level only – see section "Assignment to Modules" above.
additional remarks | The course RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGY (taught in English) is split into two modules (one per semester), beginning with RET I in the Winter Semester. The attached module RET II will be offered in the Summer Semester. At the end of the course, an exam on both modules will be given, which can however be taken separately. The course is supported by various institutions: The Institute for Energy Systems, The Institute for Fluid Mechanics, The Institute for Wind Energy, The Institute for Energy Economics and Application Technology, The Center for Applied Energy Research. For students in the masters program POWER ENGINEERING, this course is required. Students from the bachelors or masters program Mechanical Engineering, regardless of their branch of study, may take these two modules as supplementary subjects (registration for the courses on TUMonline). RET I in winter semester: - Fundamentals (Institute for Energy Systems) - Energy from Biomass (Institute for Energy Systems) - Geothermal Energy (Institute for Energy Systems) - Wind Energy (Institute for Wind Energy) RET II in summer semester: - Hydropower (Institute for Fluid Mechanics) - Photovoltaics (Institute for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Systems) - Solar Thermal Energy (Institute for Energy Systems) |
