Gaede-Langmuir Award for Prof. emeritus Dr. Dietrich Menzel

Dietrich Menzel, Professor emeritus of the Physik-Department, was awarded with the Gaede-Langmuir-Preis by the American Vacuum Society (AVS) on October, 31. AVS recognizes Prof. Menzels "ground breaking and sustained contributions towards a comprehensive understanding of the energy transfer processes influencing the physical and chemical behavior of atomic and molecular species on metal surfaces".
