additional remarks | In the course of the seminar, there will be presentations by students on both the fundamentals and recent experiments in quantum- and nanophotonics. In particular, the topics of the seminar will include:- The simulation of nanophotonic structures with numerical methods- The concepts and implementations of photonic crystals- The interaction of light and matter in nanophotonic structures- Slow-light and its generation on nanophotonic chips- Nanophotonic resonators- Light confinement below the diffraction limit- Plasmonics- Quantum optical effects such as photon antibunching and the Hong-Ou-Mandel effect- The generation of entanglement in nanophotonics- Key concepts in topological photonicsIn the preparation of the talk, the students will be supported by a member of the Quantum Networks Group. |
