additional remarks Within the framework of the practical course, 8 individual experiments are to be carried out. Before the start of each practical part, there will be a preliminary discussion in which the participants should show that they have understood the subject of the experiment and are familiar with the theoretical background. In case of insufficient preparation, the participants may not be able to proceed with the experiments. In the experiment, the candidates are given the opportunity to practice the use of the necessary equipment to successfully complete the task. Subsequently, the basic physical principles, the necessary experimental steps, and the measurement results are to be summarized in a report. A clear presentation of scientific results in the report is an essential learning objective of this practical course. Experiments and measurements with optoelectronic materials and components (photoluminescence measurements, light emitting devices (LEDs), lasers, photodiodes) and fiber-optic systems (fiber gyroscope, optical data transmission links).
