additional remarks | Basics of cognitive processing, what is necessary for cognition? Processing of information in the cortex and non-cortical brain structures. Canonical cortical circuits, computational principles of cortical processing, models of cortical function, pathology of cortical processing, role of the prefrontal cortex, hippocampus function, sensory processing in the cortex. Sleep, food intake, decisions, craving, emotions, consciousness and free will, and their representation in the brain. Options for technical intervention and interactions with central nervous processing, and modern methods of brain activity analysis. |
