ergänzende Hinweise | This lecture is aimed in particular at engineering students and is intended to provide a basic understanding of intellectual property (IP) rights. The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the most important intellectual property rights, i.e. patent, utility model, and design, and to deal in depth with the topics of obtaining, defending and enforcing a technical property right using the example of the patent. The lecture also covers the topics of copyright law, customs regulations, and due diligence in Mergers & Acquisitions. The lecture is structured in the sections: - Introduction, Patent Law, Employee Invention Law - Patent Law (Protectability and Examination, Foreign Patent Law) - Patent Law (Attack on a Patent, Defense Strategies) - Patent Law (Patent Infringement and Enforcement) - FRAND, SEP, Dispute Resolution - Utility Model Law and Design Law - Fighting Product Piracy This lecture is aimed in particular at engineering students and is intended to provide a basic understanding of industrial property rights. The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the most important industrial property rights, i.e. patent, trademark and design, and to deal in depth with the topics of obtaining, defending and enforcing a technical property right using the example of the patent. The lecture also covers the topics of copyright law, customs regulations, due diligence in Mergers & Acquisitions. |
