Further Information

Courses are together with exams the building blocks for modules. Please keep in mind that information on the contents, learning outcomes and, especially examination conditions are given on the module level only – see section "Assignment to Modules" above.

additional remarks The following contents will be covered in the module: 1. Context and requirements for the application of grid-connected power electronic converters in modern energy systems (solar photovoltaic, wind energy conversion systems, energy storage systems, HVDC). 2. Converter topologies and modulation strategies for grid-connected two-level and multilevel converters. 3. Instantaneous power theories. 4. Converter-to-grid synchronization strategies. 5. Dynamic modeling and control of three-phase inverters connected to the grid in grid following and grid forming modes. 6. Analysis of impedances of static converters. 7. High power DC-DC converters for energy storage systems and PV applications.
