| additional remarks | The approach of bionics is to analyze natural solutions and examine their transferability to technology. However, it is not just a matter of copying ideas from nature and transferring them into technical versions. Bionic research must first understand the biological objects - that is, analyze the relevant aspects in their natural boundary conditions through basic research and translate them into the language of physics and mathematics. Only through this formal level of description is it possible to transfer the principle of the biological system into technology. The lecture series on bionics, which is a cross-faculty series of events, provides students with discipline-specific and cross-disciplinary perspectives on the topic of bionics. In addition to numerous innovative practical examples of bionic products, the focus is on communicating current findings from engineering and scientific research as well as the systematic approach to bionic development projects. |
