additional remarks 1) Introduction to fundamentals of optical systems (microscopy, fluorescence, etc.) 2) Introduction to online-search (databses) od the TUM Library and acquisition of the required papers. 3) Choose and study selected scientific publications (a review and a primary reseach article) which exemplifies current devlopments in optical systems: e.g. a) microscopic techniques and technologies, b) special fluorescent agents and semiconductor nanocrystals (quantum dots), c) combinations with bioanalytical methods - for applications in diagnostics and biomedical research.
