additional remarks The lecture gives deeper insight into two selected topics of scientific computing: - Iterative solution methods for large, sparse linear systems (Jacobi, Gauss- Seidel, SOR methods, multigrid, Krylov-Subspace methods, preconditioning); intuitive introduction, mathematical performance analysis and sample computations - Molecular simulations as a case study for the work in scientific computing (overview the physical model the mathematical model discretization implementation parallelization)
