Applications of optoelectronic semiconductor devices: optical communications, measurement and sensing; emission and absorption of light in semiconductors: interactions of photons and carriers, spontaneous and stimulated emission, optical gain; optoelectronic semiconductors: semiconductor heterostructures and compound semiconductors, quantum size structures, fabrication technology, current and photon confinement; optoelectronic devices: light-emitting-diode (LED), micro-cavity LED, laser diode, micro- and nanolasers, photodiode and solar cell, optical amplifier and modulator, mathematical treatment of stationary and dynamic device behaviour. |
