Info Session: Accommodation in Munich for WS 2018/9

It’s not easy to find a place to live in Munich – but it’s not impossible either! The Technical University of Munich (TUM) supports students and staff in their search for accommodation, providing personal advice, in-house listings and useful information to ensure that you can quickly find a place to call your own.

In order to help our new students settling down at TUM and in Munich well, TUM Housing Search Assistance offers two info sessions “Accommodation in Munich” for the coming winter semester 18/19.

As we know every year, the amount of students coming to Munich to study increases. More than 90 % of students in Munich have to look for accommodation on the private real estate market, which means less than 10 % of students well get a room in dorm.

These sessions provide students with useful tips, like how to apply for an advertised apartment, how to contact the property owner/manager, how to master German bureaucracy (registry Residence Registration Office) and how to extend a visa, permit of stay, etc.

The info-sessions take place on 11.09.2018 (in English) and on 25.09.2018 (in German). Both sessions will be held on Tuesday from 2 pm to 4 pm at lecture hall 0606 in Munich. The maximum number of participants is 200. Please register online.
