This training helps our Master students to improve their intercultural competence and successfully handle their studies in an intercultural environment - either here at TUM or at a partner institution abroad. Participation is also a good opportunity to get to know better other fellow students in the Master programs and make friends.
The training is offered in English and aims at local as well as international degree Master students enrolled in our department - a diverse group enriches the experience of all participants.
The training takes place at the beginning of each winter semester and is divided over three dates according to its learning outcomes. The training in the winter semester 2018/19 takes place on:
- Friday, October 19 from 4 to 8 pm in Campus Garching: Connect (IRC model, perception in intercultural context, culture, etc.)
- Friday, October 26 from 4 to 8 pm in Campus Garching: Perform (Cultural dimension and standards)
- Saturday, December 8 from 9 am to 5 pm in Campus Munich: Enjoy (Intercultural communication and team work, life in Munich, cultural shock, reflexion)
All three dates belong to the same training and cannot be taken separately.
The number of places is limited and the participation is free of charge. If you would like to participate, please write us an e-mail stating your full name, nationality and study program by September 15, 2018.
Our partner for these trainings is Working Between Cultures.
