Extensions of the standard model of particle physics, e.g. unified theories and higher-dimensional theories (orbifold GUTs, obtain the standard model from the heterotic string), supersymmetry, supergravity and string phenomenology (Moduli (de-)stabilization, supersymmetric dark matter) and neutrinos (origin of neutrino masses (seesaw and alternatives), quantum corrections to neutrino masses). Early universe, cosmology and astro-particle physics, e.g. general aspects (explanation of dark matter, baryogenesis) and in the supersymmetric context (gravitino dark matter and problems, moduli (de-)stabilization and moduli problems).
