Content, Learning Outcome and Preconditions

Content

In this module, students gain basic knowledge of Japanese as a foreign language, enabling them to successfully manage everyday situations.
The course focuses on Units 6-9 of the textbook (Minna no Nihongo I).
Students expand their knowledge of Japanese grammar, learning verbs and adjectives, the syllabary Katakana and 20 additional Kanji. Students will also compose a rudimentary curriculum vitae and practice communication in the following contexts: making and responding to requests, visiting others (greeting and leave-taking), talking on the phone.

Learning Outcome

The course focuses on simple conversation and expanded knowledge of Japanese grammar.
