Content, Learning Outcome and Preconditions

Content

In this module, students gain basic knowledge of Japanese as a foreign language, enabling them to successfully manage everyday situations. The course focuses on Units 1-5 of the textbook (Minna no Nihongo I). In addition, students will learn verbs; simple sentence structures using Japanese particles; the syllabary Hiragana and 4 Kanji. They will learn the following communicative skills: introductions, shopping, time/date, location.

Learning Outcome

This course focuses on simple conversation.
After completing this module, students will be able to understand and make themselves understood in everyday situations, to conjugate verbs and take part in dialogue.
