Content, Learning Outcome and Preconditions


Using specialized exercises, the students gain a knowledge to communicate actively. Main focus is laid upon cultural aspects and recent events reflected in literature, articles or movies. In order to improve spoken skills, sentence structure is revised and improved and the vocabulary is increased.

Learning Outcome

The module is aimed at level B2-C1 of the CEFR, depending on the level of the student's knowledge. Students acquire knowledge of Italian as a foreign language at the standard language level with a focus on intercultural, cultural and academic aspects. Following completion of this module, students can report on texts in detail and coherently, summarize information, describe their impressions, and defend their positions. They can describe the content of texts, discussions, or television programs and offer their opinions. They are capable of spontaneously and fluently expressing themselves, without obviously having to search for words. Students can communicate clearly and in a structured fashion, both orally and in writing, on many topics in their areas of interest or specialization.
