Content, Learning Outcome and Preconditions

Content

Elektrostatik (Elektrisches Feld, Coulombkraft, Potential), Magnetostatik, Elektrodynamik (Elektrischer Strom, Zusammenhänge Strom und Magnetfeld, Lorentzkraft, Induktion, Maxwell Gleichungen), elektromagnetische Wellen, Optik (geometrische Optik, Interferenz und Beugung).

Learning Outcome

Module Exam

Description of exams and course work

The module exam consists of a written exam. The students have to prove that they master the most important aspects and areas of electrodynamics and that they are able to answer self-dependent questions to the topic.

Participation in tutorials is strongly recommended. There will be a bonus (one intermediate stepping of "0,3" to the better grade) on passed module exams (4,3 is not upgraded to 4,0) for students actively participating in the tutorials. The bonus is applicable to the exam period directly following the lecture period (not to the exam repetition)

Exam Repetition

The exam may be repeated at the end of the semester.
