Learning Outcome
After participation to the lectures, the student:
- will understand basic chemistry behind the contrast agents and will be able to recognise their necessary characteristics to produce signal in several bioimaging techniques;
- will be familiar with current chemical strategies for bioimaging for medical diagnostics
and for biomedical research;
- will be aware of the clinical and research applications of the imaging systems and will beable to use chemical imaging to address scientific challenges.

Description of exams and course work
In a written exam the learning outcome is tested using comprehension questions and sample problems.
In accordance with §12 (8) APSO the exam can be done as an oral exam. In this case the time duration is 25 minutes.
