Content, Learning Outcome and Preconditions
Special and advanced topics in theoretical particle physics among: strong interactions (e.g. factorization, jet physics, effective field theories), electroweak interactions (e.g. Higgs-physics), flavour physics (e.g. some decays, flavor mixing, neutrinos), beyond the Standard Model.
After taking part in this course the student acquires an overview of the most important open problems in theoretical particle physics and has the tools to start a master work in theoretical particle physics.

Description of exams and course work
In an oral exam the learning outcome is tested using comprehension questions and sample problems.
In accordance with §12 (8) APSO the exam can be done as a written test. In this case the time duration is 90 minutes.
The exam may be repeated at the end of the semester.
