Module PH1532
Basic Information
PH1532 is a semester module in language at which is offered irregularly.
This Module is included in the following catalogues within the study programs in physics.
- Catalogue of student seminars for Biophysics
If not stated otherwise for export to a non-physics program the student workload is given in the following table.

Responsible coordinator of the module PH1532 is Karen Alim.
Content, Learning Outcome and Preconditions
Content
Seminar talks by students on physics in life. Biological physics focusses on: What are the physics problems that organisms need to solve? How do living systems represent and process information? How do macroscopic functions of life emerge from interaction among many microscopic constituents? And how do living systems navigate parameter space? Students will choose for their presentation among original research articles that not only show novel physics concepts in the living world but are also exemplary for pedagogical and inspiring scientific writing.
Learning Outcome
After successful participation in the module the student can use the basic methods of literature retrieval, condense their knowlegde from scientific papers into a presentation and obtain presentation skills.
They have learned about the broad scope of biological physics.
