Content, Learning Outcome and Preconditions

This seminar accompanies the lecture on Renewable Energy and will provide particularly interested students with the opportunity to give an own presentation on a special topic of particular relevance. A list of potential topics includes energy distribution and smart power grids, technical realization of high volume energy storage, physics of the sun, nanostructures for efficient energy conversion, etc.

Learning Outcome

By successful participation in the module the students can

  • use and critically evaluate the basic methods of web-based literature and information retrieval
  • condense primary knowlegde from scientific papers into a presentation and optimize their own presentation skills
  • aquire additional in-depth knowledge about imprtant topics in the field of renewable energies.
