Content, Learning Outcome and Preconditions
Seminar talks by students about experimental methods in solid state physics
After successful participation in the module the student can
1.) use the basic methods of literature retrieval
2.) condense their knowledge from scientific papers into a presentation
3.) obtain presentation skills
4.) has learned details about different experimental methods in solid state physics
Student is familiar with solid state physics

Preparation and presentation of a scientific talk, beamer presentation, board work, advisor discussion, literature studies
Presentation materials, complementary literature, internet
Specialized literature to the individual topics of the seminar talks will be provided
own literature search
Description of exams and course work
In the course of the seminar each student individually prepares a talk on a topic of current research. Based on this talk the learning outcome is tested.
There is a possibility to take the exam in the following semester.
