PH1309 is a semester module in German or English language at Master’s level which is offered every semester.
This Module is included in the following catalogues within the study programs in physics.
- Catalogue of student seminars for condensed matter physics
- Catalogue of student seminars for Applied and Engineering Physics
If not stated otherwise for export to a non-physics program the student workload is given in the following table.
|Total workload||Contact hours||Credits (ECTS)|
|120 h||40 h||4 CP|
Responsible coordinator of the module PH1309 in the version of WS 2010/1 was Peter Böni.
Content, Learning Outcome and Preconditions
Seminar talks by students about methods and experiments in neutron scattering
After successful participation in the module the student can
1.) use the basic methods of literature retrieval
2.) condense their knowledge from scientific papers into a presentation
3.) obtain presentation skills
4.) has learned details about different methods and experiments in neutron scattering
Student is familiar with solid state physics
