Master's Seminar (AEP)
This module handbook serves to describe contents, learning outcome, methods and examination type as well as linking to current dates for courses and module examination in the respective sections.
PH1064 is a semester module in English language at Master’s level which is offered every semester.
If not stated otherwise for export to a non-physics program the student workload is given in the following table.

Responsible coordinator of the module PH1064 is the Dean of Studies at Physics Department.
Content, Learning Outcome and Preconditions
During the Master seminar the students is in preparation for the topic of the thesis. It allows to increase knowledge in a further specialization. The students gets an overview of current research topics in the field he intends to carry out his master's thesis.
After the Master seminar the student is able
1) to classify its intended master's thesis in the field of research,
2) to know various methods of its subject area and their advantages and disadvantages.

Description of exams and course work
During the Master seminar the students are involved in a research group. The review and advancement of students progress is done by meetings and discussions with the advisor and the members of the working group.
A talk given by the student in the institutes completes the evaluation.
