Learning Outcome

After completing the module, students can understand and apply the most important aspect to be considered when planning and carrying out a commercial flight. They are able to name factors that affect aircraft operations and assess their influence. They know the relevant stakeholders involved as well as their respective tasks. Furthermore, they are capable of self-reliantly conducting flight planning and preparation tasks as they are carried out by professional pilots.

Module Exam

Description of exams and course work

The assessment consists of an exam, either written (60 minutes) or oral (30 minutes), depending on the number of participants. The questions to be answered during the exam will aim at both knowledge and calculation skills. They will assess the student's ability to conprehend and to apply the principles of flight guidance as presented in the lecture.

Note in view of the limitations on university operations as a result of the CoViD19 pandemic: If the basic conditions (hygiene, physical distance rules, etc.) for a classroom-based examination cannot be met, the planned form of examination can be changed to a written or oral online examination in accordance with §13a APSO. The decision about this change will be announced as soon as possible, but at least 14 days before the date of the examination by the examiner after consultation with the board of examiners of the respective study program.

Exam Repetition

There is a possibility to take the exam in the following semester.
