- Integration of the functions of quality management into the phases of the product lifecycle (product planning, product development and construction, production preparation, production, after sales)
- Establishment of a corporation-wide quality management system
- Ergonomic, economic and legal bearings of quality management
Learning Outcome
- to think and act quality-orientated in all areas of an enterprise
- to use current methods of quality management in all phases of the product lifecycle
- to assess ergonomic, economic and legal outcome of the quality management
Preconditions
- Ability to derive natural science / technical conclusions of interdisciplinary problems

Learning and Teaching Methods
- Independent handling of questions / tasks based on the content of the lecture. Analysis and discussion of conclusions
- Expending the lecture knowledge by studying the recommended literature
- Exercises, which conceptual formulations will be handed over to the students in advance of each practical course. The contents are discusses within the practical courses

Module Exam
Description of exams and course work
The exam consists of questions for understanding and knowledge and in addition to that, of calculation excersises. The Questions correspond in scale and contents to the chapters according to the lecture. The student has to show, that he or she understands the basics and coherences of quality management and to be able to apply the given techniques and methods in lecture and practice in all areas of an enterprise. In addition to that, it is tested, if the student is able to replicate the theoretical contents of the lecture and practice in a structured way and in a short period of time.
It is allowed to use a non-programmable calculator and the formulary, which will be handed out with the exam.
Exam Repetition
There is a possibility to take the exam in the following semester.
