Seminar on selected mathematical topics, provided by examiners of the Department of Mathematics.
Learning Outcome
Nach der Teilnahme an dem Modul sind die Studierenden in der Lage, eine kleinere, mathematisch fortgeschrittene Fragestellung innerhalb eines begrenzten Zeitfensters zu erfassen und auf Grundlage der einschlägigen Literatur, nach wissenschaftlichen Standards strukturiert zu bearbeiten. Die Studierenden können die Ergebnisse eines mathematischen Spezialthemas strukturiert, in anschaulicher und verständlicher Weise einem Publikum vortragen und sicher in den mathematischen Kontext einbetten. Sie haben ihre Fähigkeiten ausgebaut, sich im wissenschaftlichen Diskurs einzubringen und zu behaupten.

Description of exams and course work
The module examination is based on a presentation (90 minutes) and a well prepared handout sheet (approx 4 pages).
Exam Repetition
There is a possibility to take the exam in the following semester.
