Content, Learning Outcome and Preconditions

Content

During the participation in the module the student receives a deeper understanding and knowledge in the following areas:

- Types and sources of air pollution, emission, transmission,
immission,
- Methods of data acquisition and processing for
immission measurements Sampled and continuous
measurements,
- Evaluation of the results, thresholds,
- Selected measurement methods and components for gaseous and particle-type pollution, particularly for CO, NO, CO2, SO2,
sulphur combinations, hydro carbon combinations with and
without methane, particles,
- structure and operation of automatic measurement networks for the surveillance of air pollution.

Learning Outcome

After the participation in the module the student is able to

- understand methods of data acquisition and processing for immission measurements Sampled and continuous measurements,
- evaluate selected measurement methods and components,
- evaluate structure and operation of automatic measurement networks for the surveillance of air pollution.
