additional remarks | Strategic and international management targets long term decisions and the sustainable development of the company. In the course of globalization, it is crucial to consider the international dimension of management. Strategic and international management skills are not only important in the management of companies that are doing business across borders, but also within single business functions when shaping competitive strategy. In detail, this module discusses the following aspects:- Foundations of management- Stakeholders, objectives, and governance- Strategic decision making and performance- Strategy analysis- Competitive strategies- Strategy implementationThe course uses three teaching methods:- Online video lectures.The video lectures provide the course content in an online multimedia format.- In-class lectures. The in-class lectures discuss applications and reflections towards the course content as well as open the floor for student questions.- Online feedback sessions. The online feedback sessions are an additional opportunity to clarify open questions in a peer-to-peer format (students answering questions by other students) moderated by doctoral research associates of the chair.The in-class lectures will not be recorded. It is strictly forbidden to audiotape and/or videotape in-class lectures. Students are explicitly required/encouraged to respect personality rights of other students and lecturers. |
