additional remarks The course´s main points introduce the fundamentals and Thermal-hydraulics of different power systems plus main principles of single phase and two-phase flows that can be encountered in heat cycles of thermal power plants: - Introduction into types and characteristics of different power generation stations. - Basic principles of Thermodynamics for analysis of heat cycles. - Fossil power plants: principles, characteristics, and basic analysis. - Nuclear power plants: principles, characteristics, and basic analysis. - Steam turbines: work principle, analysis and basic design calculations. - Hydroelectric power stations: principles and analysis of power production and types of hydro-turbines. -Energy storage principles. -Overview of Renewable energy stations. -Basic equations and analysis of Single-phase flows. -Basic equations and analysis of Two-phase flows. -Heat transfer in single and two-phase flows.
