additional remarks The lecture "biological solid-state NMR" introduces into the fundamental principles of solid-state NMR spectroscopy. A particular focus is put on the quantum mechanical principles of the method. The course contains a quantitative picture of anisotropic interactions, the theory of decoupling and recoupling, asignment strategies for spin systems in a protein, and current concepts of structure determination in the solid-state. In addition, biological applications such as amyloid fibrils and membrane proteins are presented. Die Modulveranstaltung bietet eine Einführung in die Grundlagen der Festkörper-NMR Spektroskopie. Besonderes Gewicht liegt auf den quantenmechanischen Prinzipien der Methode. Insbesondere werden anisotrope Wechselwirkungen quantitativ beschrieben, die Theorie von Decoupling und Recoupling Experimenten erklärt, und Strategien zur Zuordnung von Spinsystemen sowie zur Strukturbestimmung im Festkörper erläutert. Neben Grundlagen werden Anwendungen auf Amyloidfibrillen, Membranproteinen und lösliche große Proteinkomplexe gezeigt.
